We are happy to announce, yet again, — Yes – we are having the 15th Ajijic Jewish Film Festival at the Cine+lago theater (renamed from CineMagic) in the Bugambilias Plaza on the Carretera. It will begin on 5 January 2025 and run for 8 consecutive Sundays.
The theater environment is a safe one. All theater staff are Covid vaccinated and each Sala has its own independent air circulation system to the outside roof.
As last year, we will offer season RESERVED SEATING to make life a little easier for all and to minimize the need to queue in the lobby before a performance.
RESERVED TICKETS will be sold as follows:
Sun 29 Dec 2024 –3-5pm – LCJC – Special sales date for those attending the LCJC Channukah party (don’t forget to bring your pesos).
Tues 24 Dec 2024 – 10 am – 12 pm – Black Coffee in San Antonio on the Carretera
Thurs 26 Dec 2024 – 10 am – 12 pm – Café Black & White – Ajijic on the Plaza
Tues 31 Dec 2024 – 10 am – 12 pm – Black Coffee in San Antonio on the Carretera
Thurs 2 Jan 2025 – 10 am – 12 pm – Café Black & White – Ajijic on the Plaza

Why buy reserved tickets?
1 – 200 peso discount if purchased by or during the opening show on 8 January
2 – No need to queue up early to get a good seat. Your excellently located seat will be reserved for all the shows.
3 – And don’t worry if you have a season ticket and miss one of the shows – just bring an appropriately sized thumb drive by the end of the JFF to get a copy of shows you might have missed (10 GB per film).
Michael Sullivan will handle sales on 29 December at the Channukah party. Maureen Davis will the sales at Black Coffee and Black & White. Diane Pearl will sell at her shop. No need to contact Maureen beforehand via email – just show up as shown. Season tickets are 1000p each.
And as a special treat this year – on February 23, just after the showing of The Rabbi Goes West, our Rabbi, Jonathan Case, will lead a discussion in the theater regarding the challenges discussed in the film
