Shavuot 

Shavuot comes exactly seven weeks after Passover.  Passover marks the liberation from slavery and Shavuot is the moment when G-d revealed the most sacred and cherished gift at Mount Sinai, the Torah.  Shavuot is the anniversary of this event, Revelation.  We celebrate this date with great festivity and study of the precious possession that we hold and defines us as Jews.
